for any volunteer shift or to bake homemade Christmas pies !!


There are multiple ways to volunteer your time. FAF appreciates every minute !

  1. Sign-up & volunteer at any Food at First Meal (served daily), Free Market (Mon, Thur, Sat) or special events such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Sweet Corn day (late summer) or the Pass Along Party (before Christmas). Groups please check the calendar to see what groups are currently helping host a meal.  Contact Patty Yoder patty@foodatfirst.com if you would like to schedule a volunteer group.
  2. Glean food from area grocery stores, ISU, restaurants, etc. on a recurring basis, usually weekly.  40 to 50 gleaning opportunities a week.  These are filled with volunteers who make a long term commitment on a recurring weekly basis.
