As we glean food from sources around Ames, we end up with literally THOUSANDS of pounds of produce, dairy, baked goods, and meat each week. We use as much as we need for the meal program, but still have an ABUNDANCE that we give away to anyone who can use it to help make ends meet – we call it the “Free Market”.
Distribution takes place twice per week:
Mondays from 4:00 PM until 4:30 PM
Thursdays from 4:00 PM until 4:30 PM
Our Free Market is located at 116 N Sherman Ave – it’s right next to Craig Carroll Photography, just north of Lincoln Way and very near Burger King.
There are no requirements for recipients (such as income), and no personal information is collected when food is handed out. We are simply sharing God’s abundance with anyone who needs some help!
